Support for pupils, families and staff

Wellbeing and Mental Health

Looking after our mental health and wellbeing is important at every age. There are times when children, young people and adults may need some extra help, advice or simply someone to talk to.

This page brings together trusted sources of support for young people, parents, carers and families, including help with mental health and emotional wellbeing as well as practical issues that can affect how we feel.

Whether you are looking for support for yourself or are concerned about someone else, the organisations and services below can help you find information, advice and appropriate support when you need it.

Urgent support

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to A&E.

If you need urgent mental health support but it is not an emergency, call 111 or use the NHS 111 online service. You will be connected to the right support for your needs.
